First Comes Love, Then Comes Marriage…

If you are an expectant mother you have probably heard the term ‘babymoon’ and might even have one planned. If you are unfamiliar, let me clue you in on the latest trend. A babymoon is a vacation expectant parents take in order to relax and spend one-on-one time before the baby arrives. Sounds like a great idea, right?! Take advantage of the time you have now before you have no time at all! Here are some fun ideas to consider when planning your babymoon vacation.

With a baby on the way, budgets are tight. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a vacation with your significant other. Instead of a lavish week long stay, opt for a weekend getaway somewhere close to home. Las Vegas, Chicago, Kansas City, and Austin are all great cities with a lot to offer. Spend your time shopping, sight-seeing, and eating great food. Choose a resort or hotel that has a spa so you can get some pampering in. It is possible to enjoy yourselves without breaking the bank.

When in doubt, follow the sun. Vitamin D is beneficial to you and your baby. Plus, who doesn’t love the warmth of the sun shining on their face? California, Arizona, Texas, and Florida provide ample sunshine to instantly lift your spirits. Kick back and relax with your toes in the sand on a beach. And yes, I do know that Arizona is a land-locked state, but surprisingly there are a few sandy beaches to lounge on. Don’t forget to lather on the sunscreen!

If you want a true escape from the hustle and bustle of your busy life, there is no better way to find peace than in nature. Wake up stress free with breathtaking mountain views in Wyoming, Colorado, or North Carolina. Whether you want to go for a hike or lounge in your suite all day next to the fire, you and your honey will be spending quality time together with no distractions to get in the way.

If time and money allow, go international. This may be your last chance to travel until your baby gets older so you might as well do it big! France, Italy, and Greece are known for being romantic couple destinations. Stroll through ancient markets and villages, indulge in extravagant cuisine, and immerse yourself in the culture. It may be a splurge but the memories you make will be worth it.

Regardless of where you decide to vacation for your babymoon, it’s important to let everything go in order to truly relax and connect with your partner. This is your time with one another, and you deserve every second of it! If planning your babymoon adds one more thing to an already full plate, let the experts at AurTravel help.
