National Parks of America

Looking for a vacation that is affordable, adventurous, and memorable? Ever think about traveling to a national park in the winter, summer, or spring? What about a national park for the family, a national park with a scenic drive, or a national park with a stunning view? Consider the following destinations.

Rocky Mountain National Park: Winter is an amazing time of year to visit the wilderness of Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado. The park offers many winter activities including snowshoeing, cross country and downhill skiing, sledding and tubing, and snowmobiling. Don’t forget to include a dip in one of the soothing hot springs at Strawberry Park or Hot Sulphur Springs.

Yosemite National Park: California’s Yosemite National Park offers scenery with cliffs, waterfalls, and giant sequoias that your family will love. Families have many activities to choose from: hiking, biking, rafting, and many more. Make sure to visit the highest waterfall in North America: Yosemite Fall. The falls are a major attraction in the park.

Acadia National Park: During the summer, Acadia National Park is one of the foremost destinations in the state of Maine. Bar Harbor is an old fashioned seaside village that offers shopping, mouthwatering seafood restaurants, and boating. See the ocean, mountain, and forests as you wind through the park on the 20-mile Park Loop Road.

Grand Canyon National Park: It’s called one of America’s great road trips. You can ride in your own car or on a shuttle. Every drive is a scenic drive but the best views come once you start to explore the national park by foot. Most tourists visit the Grand Canyon via the South Rim. Your first stop should be Mather Point Overlook, with great views of the stunning landscape of the Grand Canyon.

Great Smoky Mountains National Park: This Park has world renowned preserves of wildflowers. Great Smoky Mountains National Park hosts more flowers than any other North American national park and is America’s most visited national park. The surrounding cities of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge both offer many attractions that your family will love. It offers views of mountains, streams, wildflowers, and forest and is home to many black bears, elk, and white-tail deer.
